Main scientific and technological objectives

1. Successfully treat cyanobacterial contaminated water using tangential flow separator and field waves

2. Apply green AOPs for further water purification and detoxification

3. Determine the optimum operational conditions to anaerobically co-digest manures with the aquatic biomass to achieve maximum biogas production yields and high-quality by-products.

4. Establish an analytical protocol that enables cyanotoxin determination in various matrixes (e.g., aquatic, soil, biomass) and minimize signal suppression due to matrix effects.

5. Evaluate the impact of treated and untreated cyanobacterial contaminated water on hydroponically grown crops in terms of optimum yield, quality, and biomass production.

6. Evaluate the process impact applying basic Life-Cycle-Analysis (LCA)
